A caravan exploded at a Boonderoo Road address yesterday (Monday) at about midday.

The owner wasn’t home at the time of the fire.

Police said neighbours noticed smoke coming from the caravan and called for help.

Emergency services arrived promptly to put out the blaze and there were no injuries or damage to property, besides the caravan.

The caravan itself was totally destroyed.

Police, ambulance, and fire service vehicles attended the scene.

Mick Ivill, captain of the fire brigade, said that the cause of the blaze is currently unknown.

“Police are looking into the cause of the fire,” he said.
