Josh and Kiarna will be getting married on live TV on October 21.

Sunrise came to town on Wednesday, in preparation for Tumut locals Kiarna Preston and Josh Smith’s upcoming wedding on live TV.

The hosts of the popular Breakfast TV program only had good words to say about Tumut’s celebrity couple.

“At Sunrise, we love a good wedding and we just can’t wait to meet Kiarna and Josh in Hayman Island,” Samantha Armytage said.

“They seem like a gorgeous couple and and I’m sure Australia will fall in love with them too. We’re really excited about a happy day next Friday.”

David Koch – Kochie – was similarly enthusiastic about the loved-up pair.

“I’m a hopeless romantic and love weddings. They are always so full of joy,” he said.

“So I can’t wait to be a part of Josh and Kiarna’s special day. They are a gorgeous couple and so much in love.”

The Sunrise crew were in town to film interviews with locals and shoot the town, in order to help introduce Josh and Kiarna to their audience of nearly a million Australians.

The couple won a competition to participate in Sunrise’s Marry in the Morning segment, and will be flying out to Hayman Island for an $100, 000 wedding package on October 21.

Bride-to-be Kiarna Preston said she was thrilled to see everyone taking part in the filming and having fun.

“I’m just having more fun than anything, I’m not really stressed at all, just enjoying the ride,” she said.

“It’s all coming into place. I’ve just found a dress today and I can’t wait for Josh to see it. It’s a beautiful dress.

“It’s great to see [the town] get out and support us. We’re having a really good time.”

Josh’s mother Debbie Smith was also interviewed by the TV crew. She said she’s looking forward to experiencing Hayman Island’s lavish reputation.

“We fly out next Tuesday, the wedding is actually on the Friday. It’ll be beautiful. I can’t wait to see it – especially since it’s my son, and Kiarna will make a beautiful bride. It’s just lovely.

“A lot of people coming into the shop [Pie in the Sky bakery] have been commenting about it. I think it’s great for Tumut as well, being on TV. Everybody’s been positive, they’re really on a high.”

The Marry in the Morning package includes flights for the bride and groom plus eight guests, luxury yacht transfer from the airport, hair and makeup, a photographer, suites for the guests, a 3-course reception for 20 people, a personalised butler, a private helicopter tour, a beach villa, and celebrity celebrant Greg Evans.

The segment will air at 8am, Friday October 21.
