The Tumut River has reached the minor flood level this afternoon.
The latest reading at 3.20pm recorded a river height of 2.02m. The river is flowing at 15,449 megalitres.
Tumut River’s minor flood level is 2m.
The Goobarragandra River, at Lacmalac, was flowing at 12,255 megalitres and had a recorded height of 3.36m.
The Gilmore Creek peaked earlier in the day.
In scenes reminiscent of the early floods of 2010, low lying areas around Lacmalac and Tumut Plains have this afternoon received some inundation.
A flood warning has been issued for the Tumut Riverglade Caravan Park and a number of caravanners have chosen to evacuate. Areas of Pioneer Park are under water.
There is water over the road at Tumut Plains Road and Brungle Road.
