Tumut’s all-conquering under 15s rugby league players marked the end of their minor league careers at the annual ball on Friday night.

For those who began back in the under 6s, the night signalled the culmination of a 10-year journey, during which time defeat has been tasted on less than a handful of occasions.

This year’s 15s will go down as perhaps the most successful in the club’s storied history.

Teams don’t begin playing finals until under 10s, but this year’s under 15s team won each of the six titles that have been on offer, finishing with last week’s premiership win over Young at McDonald’s Park.

Next year, players move into the ranks of the senior league and it seems likely at least a few players won’t continue, for one reason or another.
